This maple serving tray is great for serving light hors d'oeuvres and cheeses. ItÕs got stainless steel handles and strips of sapele for nice accenting. Great for dinner parties or nights in with friends.
How I Was Made
The breeze carried a coconut smell over to my cabana when I saw that the tide was coming in. I ported the SS Intrepid in Tortuga for a few days so I could recoup from the torment of the sea and sand. As the sun started to go down I saw two figures lighting a large fire on the beach. They were slowly joined by groups of dancing locals and I walked over when the sun had set.
It was a barbecue of the finest authenticity, put on by islanders with recipes over three hundred years old. As the pig roasted and the rum was poured, I realized the amount of food much outweighed the amount of plateware that had been brought to the beach. Eureka! An opportunity.
I walked into town and found a market selling wood and bought a slab of it, cleaned it, and walked back to the beach. Just as the pig was done I loaded it onto the serving tray and the presentation was something the island had never seen.
And boy how we ate.

Rounded Edge, Standard Corner
Rounded edges are great if the board is a bit larger than the countertop. The board can stick out and rub against the body, so rounded edges can relieve the sharpness.

Juice Grooves
-
Also commonly referred to as juice troughs, juice grooves are one of our most requested customizations. We simply route a small trough around the perimeter of your board to catch drippings from carving meat.
